Caught the re-run of 2008 Olympics opening last evening.
Need anymore reminders about how perfect Zhang Yimou is?

China's gymnasts, men and women both won golds in the grp competition.
So expected of them, aint it?

Have been running, lifting weights and forcing my split into a perfect 180 degrees since the beginning of the week. And boy, are my muscles aching like crazy!

Gonna head to the gym with Mr Lew now, and household chores after we get back.

My legs are aching so damn badly.

Went for a long run with Mr. Lew and the in-laws yesterday before dinner.; from our place all the way to Toa Payoh. After 4 long years of complacency, i need to build back my stamina real fast for my upcoming trainings. (I wonder if i will start training this Sunday.)

Packed with appointments for whole of this week!

Anyone caught Channel U @ 1330 earlier on?

Watching the girls complete their routines makes my heart cringe in regret. A sport that i love and the only sport that i entered into competition. Too bad SAC has dis-banded their gymnastics team. Thinking of my training days brings back my memories of the late Mr Quah and still-coaching-Mr Lim. I miss them and my team. I wonder if the rest of them still thinks about the training days.

Made a decision;
I'm going back for training.


Have contacted my ex-coach Mr Lim.
Thank God that he's still coaching at Chinese High.
I'll be the oldest trainee no doubt. And I'm aiming to enter another competition and compete again before I get too stiff to.

If only Mr Quah was still alive to know this. I'm sure he would be proud of me. And bcos he wanted to make me Captain if SAC's gymnastics team was not dis-banded.

If only.
Life is full of too many 'if onlys'.

I must say I'm utterly impressed with China.
The lights & choreography were oh-so-dazzling.
All in all, the opening ceremoney was resplendent.

And best of all, they began the games with their very own gymnast, Li Ning who won 3 golds in 1984.

For people who don't know me; I'm born in 1984 and I used to be a gymnast. I miss gymnastics. Started training when I was 13 and I only stopped training 4 years ago. Sigh. Wonder if my coach is still training the other girls at Chinese High. Maybe someday I'll just drop by to see if I can do all the flips and jumps again.

Made a careless mistake for my FM exam's Qn 5. I could have scored an A and now i'm not even sure if a B is possible cos that damn question is worth 18 marks.
Argh.

Cooked dinner and waiting for Mr Lew to reach home.

Am i the only one who thinks Khelil sounds sarcastic in his, "They always want to make sure..............to satisfy the demand" comment when asked if OPEC sld cut production.


Im so unhappy for Mr Lew.

Why is it that there are people who think that you sld do more and extra work if you're getting more salary than the rest? The amount of salary is determined by the years of experience you have and minorly, your age too.

And throwing your weight around & getting your colleagues into trouble just to save your sorry arse isnt gonna help much in gaining the likings of your colleagues, albeit the management might.

A good leader delegates work when it is deemed necessary to and not keeping all the work near your chest until you can't breathe no more, and heave all the blame to the people around you when you cant finish it. Perhaps some good management and leadership courses should be held soon.

The 2008 Olympics is nearing. So is the 2008 Politics.

The people think about the long-term financial concerns they will be bearing for the kid, not the short-term effects. So i guess even giving double the current $3K-for-first-child isnt gonna help change the minds of couples. Much.

The stock market movements tickle me nowadays. Monitoring the Dow; crawling bit by bit for a consecutive of 3 days to 116 hundred and see it fall by over 200 points this morning.

I really hate it when i shop on impulse.
And even when i'm not around to see the tangible good. Damn.

Story goes like this:
Knew that my gf, WL was heading to get some shopping done this evening and i asked her to get this bag for me cos i din manage to convince myself to get it yesterday. Turned out that the design and color i wanted was completedly sold out and the white-colored one was the only one left.

I kinda dislike white-colored bags but i still got her to buy it for me cos i just couldnt stand the thought of losing whatever i felt i was losing. And now, i dont even want to take a 2nd glance at the bag.

Will be bringing it back to the shop to try my luck, see if i can change it for another design. Oh gosh. I really hate myself sometimes. Mr Lew nearly went bonkers when he heard about this an hr ago. But oh well, whats done cannot be undone.

Did some online shopping with Sis.
Pretty clothes and bags make my day.

Dining set and Room 2's bed is arriving this weekend. Major house-cleaning as well cos we're gonna be staying there frm Sat onwards. But but but..lotsa things not done yet. Sigh. Busy busy busy.
