And now we have a beautiful living area.

Special thanks to the in-laws cos they were the ones who suggested the design and best of all, paid for it. Heehee.

Our MBR's 'full-length' mirror (IKEA): right outside the bathroom

Curtains up tomorrow morning at 0930. Lucky Mr. Lew is able to open the door for the workers cos I'll be far too busy from 0830 onwards. Photos up when I get 'em!

TGIF in less than 2 hours time!
Enjoy the weekend-that-never-seems-long-enough.

Mr. Lew & his Mum-in-law jigsaw-puzzling together.
Sweet.

Lugged the HT system to OL after completing some of my paperwork in office.

Went to Joo Chiat area to purchase our rugs.

Headed to CGH to visit Granny. Test results arent out yet. Not sure what's wrong with her. You know the cruel and hard fact of life, that the older folks will leave you sooner or later, slaps you so hard in the face when they start to fall ill. Was on the brink of tears after visiting her.
Sigh.

To IKEA to buy mugs, glasses and etc.

Drove to Pasir Ris Farmway 1 and 2 to check out the pets on sale. The Lews fell in love with a couple of dogs. Might get a puppy but we're not sure if Gucci will be able to get along with another furry being in the house. Well, we'll come to a decision after settling down in our new home for a few months or so.

I have photos of this HUGE and handsome Great Dane that we bumped into when we walked into one of the shops. He's so adorable and tame! I love him so much!

Installation of the timber strips and TV console tomorrow morning.
Pictures soon.

Watch this space.

Political unrest everywhere. It's scary, isn't it? What are the economists around doing? Is the demand so much more than supply that oil prices have to be hanging around at 134 - 140?

'Speculators' should be more selfless. Everyone has monetary issues just bcos of their petty gains. The unstability in everything makes it difficult to increase the money in your pocket.

SG's inflation on a record high at 7.5%.

Are shares & our salaries the next thing to go up?
Let's dream altogether for now, shall we?

Just as I felt. Oil prices hitting the ceiling cos of 'words'.

Maybe they should just try speculating the other way round, to see if it helps lowering the expectations of crude oil going above the 150 mark.
Besides, what goes up must come down. No?

Have you heard?
Water is the new black.

'Surgeons' for a night

And we all turn one every year, don't we?
Leonard finally hits the big 3

Guys just can't seem to take a proper shot.

Look what treasure we just got a few hours back!

New blog song: Sui Ran Wo Yuan Yi
I love it.
.
Busy week it has been. Can't rly remember what the whole week was made up of.
.
Lightings are all up. Partition in the living area removed. (what a waste of money, time & effort i know.) Will be having timber strips & a suspended console carpentered instead. Delivery has been once again postponed to the 5th of July. Move-in scheduled on the 2nd week of July, hopefully.

Too many things. Too little time.
.

love the ceiling works. turned out really nice.

the 2 shelvings at our 'wealth area'. okay, stop laughing.

Not sure if I've ever mentioned that we gotta hang a painting of waterfalls & trees in our MBR. Anyway yeah, we have to. So here it is. In a 1000-pc jigsaw puzzle that we have to finish up before we move-in. But Mr. Lew likes it so he's gonna do it whole. (Yes Mr. Lew, I'm just kidding.) The jigsaw puzzle plus its frame costs like more than a hundred bucks. What atrocity! Its just cardboard for heavens sake!
.
Okay whatever.
.
Just hope that the NETS instant dip we're gonna go dip-a-dipping tomorrow lets us win some really cool stuffs.

Painting done up 20% yesterday. Curtains confirmed last evening. Managed to pick a design that everyone gave the green light to. Measurements tomorrow at 4pm. Installation fixed on the 27th at 10am. Got to source for a suitable TV console, dining set. Gotta purchase the rugs soon. Have not seen any paintings nor ships yet. (Oh no!)

Real busy week ahead.

Got this handsome (SE K850i) yesterday when we signed up for the mio Plan. Managed to transfer the application without any charges.
One word: Awesome!

Good friend, Antonica is finally tying the knot later this evening with her HTB of 3 years. Happy for her! Attending their ROM later.

Gonna take SCI's papers as soon as I obtain the necessary information from them next Monday. Damn overloaded with so much stuffs; work, furniture-shopping, renovations, assignments, accountable tests and other certified exams.
Help!

Ceiling & plastering works done.

Got the developer to give us a quotation for 2 wood shelvings we're supposed to have and he quoted $150 for both. Sheesh! An increase in this commodity too. Inflation is increasing and its expected to hit 8.1% soon.

Everything is going up.
Everything but the money in our banks. Sigh.

Waiting for Mr. Lew to knock off and pick me up. Heading to PP to get our TV's warranty card and to sign-up for Singtel's mio Plan.

Renovation Day 2 pictures

just starting on the false ceiling

almost there. left with just the plastering

Bedroom 1: (i know what you're thinking.)
we HAD to get this done as advised by our fengshui master

plasterboard divider: living area from dining area.
we HAD to get this done cos of fengshui as well.

the hassle of renovations

just look how filthy the whole house is!

Common Bathroom lights up!

Kitchen lights 3/4 up!

just a random photo: view from our MBR at night.

The Lews are getting really worn out from the running to and fro from work to home and back to work and back home AGAIN due to the renovation works that started on Monday this week. And this is only the 1st week, we have another 2 more weeks to go for the renovations & moving in. This is really preventing us from concentrating on our sales. Sigh.

TGIF tomorrow. But we still have to go curtain & TV console-shopping during the weekends.
Oh gosh....
.
.
Leaving office soon.

On mobile every single day. Tired!

Whats up???? Heavy rain out of a sudden???? Waiting for Mr. Lew to come home after working for the whole of today. Hope he doesnt get drenched in this massive drizzle.

I have great news to share!
We've FINALLY got our Heineken inflatable ice bucket today! After my yelling at PS Carrefour's employees for nearly a month, that is. Got some extra freebies as well. Heh heh.

Intimidation DOES work sometimes.
Well, most of the time in my case.

Our green beauty, not blown up yet

Have both decided not to go ahead with our carpentry plans. Will just be getting a plasterboard done up to divide the living area from the dining. Hence we're just gonna buy a console OTR and not mount the tube (will just be leaving it on the console). Good news bcos its time & money saved.

Home line activation on Fri noon = new mobile on Sat

Tomato ramen lunch with Mr. Lew this noon.
Went to check out some delightfuls after our lunch and it made Mrs Lew a very happy wife!
=D

Alright. Mr Lew's home.
Drenched, as expected.

Went up to OL before dinner to lay corrugated cardboard (bought by my very nice Dad-in-law) all over cos our renovation works will be commencing on Wednesday. Had a tough time requesting for my Wednesday leave this morning but lucky its been approved unofficially by my boss.

Bought quite a few miscellaneous stuffs before heading home; mop, broom, toilet bowl brush, doorbell, etc etc etc etc etc. And we've decided that we'll apply for the mio Plan under Mr. Lew's name cos we gotta pay to transfer the name to mine. Crazy. Just look at how Singtel earns money for doing nothing.

The Lews are gonna attend an investment seminar about the current market at Shenton Way on Saturday morning.
We're so damn cute lah. Heh.
