She's finally hitting the Big 2. But alas, theres a huge possibility that she's not gonna be in SG for her 21st cos she's heading to Sydney for her degree. Good thing is there won't be anyone loaning all my clothes, stretching 'em till i can't wear it anymore and i don't have to be her mobile ATM anymore. Bad is that there's one person less to accompany me shopping.

Some people are just so immature.
Commenting on others when u can't even tk care of ur own life?

Havent you heard?
Intelligent people talk about ideas.
Average people talk about things.
Small people talk about other people.

It's time to grow up. Really.

Finally finished choosing the hotels for my 25 days hiatus from SG. And, boy do they cost a bomb! But no choice cos its not gonna be as safe as SG, so picking cheap hotels will be your route to hell.

Initially striked off a night at Manchester to cover France but Mr Lew wants to visit his previous uni (Sheffield) but it's so out of the way.
Got to re-plan again. Argh.

I'll be leaving on 26 March whereas Mr Lew's leaving on 6 April to meet up with me, and returning together on the 20th.

I'm not gonna ask anyone to miss me cos I know everyone definitely will. Hahahaha.

I've finished Prison Break Season 2.
Buay tahan! It's so damn addictive can!

Okay.
Off for my shower.
It's Taka Time! It's Taka Time!

Alright. 3 new blog songs.

Cast John Abruzzi so damn cool.

.
I know this is oh-so-late.
But I'm so addicted to Prison Break!
And Wentworth Miller is so damn gorgeous that even Mr. Lew sings his praises.

Nothing beats reaching home at 6 in the evening, removing all your make-up, taking a hot shower, having your dinner whilst lying on the couch watching the tube.

It's been a long time since i enjoyed such luxury.

More of it, please?

Browsing through pet adoption websites.

I'm really appalled that there are so many dogs and cats which are nearing their life spans being put up for adoption. Feel so angry with such owners. Giving up your pet just because they're gonna leave this world soon.

Can someone tell me just what is this world coming to?!
ANGRY!

Damn that headache.

Assignments due; exams approaching. ARGH!

Dates for UK cfmed, so is the nxt exam date. (Eeeeps!)

Gonna take TG to LHR, stay there for 2 nights; a domestic flight/train to MAN for a night before boarding the shuttle bus to Bangor next noon.

Mr Lew's flying over just a few days before my module ends. We'll be getting our asses back to LHR and off to Europe for our honeymoon! Might be doing Italy (Rome, Tuscany and Milan) & Switzerland (Interlaken, Lucerne and Zurich) before 2 additional nights in BKK before coming home to SIN.

Still considering which cities we'll be visiting since we've already been to most parts of both UK and Europe. Separately.

Suggestions, anyone?

Alright. I really need to sleep now.
Horribly loooooooooooooong day tmr.

What is the big fucking deal about going to St James Powerstation everyone? Seriously.

Shaking your boobs there, showing off your financial ability to open bottles after bottles of "poison", stick your face around there until the regulars clubbers start to address you as St James prince or princess?!

Is this your form of relaxation? Well, its lame ok. Totally no quality.

First of all, all thanks to your dumb financial contribution. St James is proudly listed in SGX. Trading at a miserable $0.175.

Secondly, you are killing your eardrums. The music sucks 90% of the time.

Thirdly, you are subjecting yourself to being murdered by some drunkard. Ok. It has not happened yet but I believe it will.

ALL, I AM SERIOUSLY PISSED AT MRS. LEW'S CONTINOUS PATRONISING OF THIS IRRITATING PLACE! I AM JUST BEING UNREASONABLE OK! I DON'T GIVE A DAMN IF YOU ALL THINK I AM STUPID.

MESSAGES TO ALL OF YOU WHO HAVE BEEN GOING THERE WITH HER. YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE............ STOP JIO-ING HER ALONG. NOT EVEN FOR FAREWELL PARTIES OR BIRTHDAYS.

As a follow up to my anti binge drinking drive, Straits Times has an article written on the subject. Have fun reading...

Lisabel Ting
Thu, Jun 05, 2008Mind Your Body

Walk down pub-lined Mohamed Sultan Road on any given night and you are likely to come across 'smashed' drinkers struggling to walk straight.
Other young drinkers may already be slumped by the side of the road.
Binge drinking among the young - it refers to high alcohol consumption within a short span to the point of intoxication - is a worldwide problem today.
In Australia, Prime Minister Kevin Rudd earlier this year pledged an A$53.5 million (S$70 million) package to crack down on and reform Australia's young drinkers.
Britain ran a similar campaign four years ago, with sting operations carried out to identify shops which sold alcohol to youngsters under 18.
In Singapore, binge drinking has been the target of Get Your Sexy Back, a youth-led campaign launched late last year to urge responsible alcohol consumption.
While research has shown that moderate drinking, such as one or two glasses of red wine a day, can have health benefits, binge drinking is quite another matter.
A 'binge' is a pattern of drinking alcohol that raises blood alcohol concentration to a very high level. The Singapore Police Force defines this as 80mg of alcohol per 100ml of blood.
For the typical adult male, this pattern corresponds to consuming five or more drinks in about two hours. For the typical adult female, the threshold is about four drinks in that same period.
In the above definition, a drink is equivalent to a mug of beer (350ml), a glass of wine (150ml) or a shot of distilled spirits (50ml).
The truth is that binge drinking will ultimately hit you in the liver.
When you binge drink, as opposed to drinking in moderation over a longer period of time, the liver, which usually breaks alcohol down into fats or carbon dioxide and water, may be overwhelmed.
This can lead to liver cirrhosis, an irreversible process where the cells in the liver die and are replaced with scar tissue, leading to progressive loss of liver function.
Binge drinking can also lead to dehydration, nausea and vomiting, slurred speech and blurred vision, as well as greatly impaired motor skills.
Aside from the purely physical effects of binge drinking, consuming so much alcohol in such a short period of time also has psychological and emotional effects.
'Regular binge drinking increases the risk of getting hurt in accidents, irresponsible behaviour, dangerous or high-risk behaviour, difficulty in concentrating and inattentiveness,' said Dr Arthur Lee, senior consultant and head of the addiction medicine department in the Institute of Mental Health.
Irresponsible or high-risk behaviour may have consequences that have a long lasting emotional impact on individuals and their families long after the alcohol's effect had worn off, he said.
So, why are there binge drinkers?
'Social and environmental factors may influence young people to binge drink,' said Dr Lee.
For example, young people may see alcohol use as a 'normal' or even 'cool' recreational and social activity - to 'chill out', to have a good time with friends and to help one loosen up to have fun.
The availability and close proximity of pubs, bars and nightclubs within a small area may also contribute to binge drinking, said Dr Lee.
Then there are ignorance and a lack of understanding about the adverse effects of binge drinking.
Dr Lee sees binge drinking as 'potentially dangerous' and 'a serious problem for both genders'.
'If unchecked, it can lead to alcoholism, which can then lead to alcohol-related medical, social or psychological problems,' he added.
This article was first published in Mind Your Body, The Straits Times on June 4, 2008.

How to be a responsible drinker
1 Drink at your own pace
One way to get out of binge drinking behaviour is to not try to keep up with other drinkers, said DrArthur Lee, senior consultant and head of the addiction medicine department at the Institute of Mental Health.

2 Avoid eating salty foods or snacks
These will encourage you to drink more quickly.

3 Limit yourself
Setting limits and sticking to them, for example, having no more than two drinks during the course of the evening, can correct binge drinking behaviour, said DrLee.

4 Drink water or other non-alcoholic beverages in between cocktails or beers
This will slow down your rate of alcohol consumption, as well as make you feel fuller faster.

5 Set regular 'non-alcohol' days during the week
And stick to them.

6 Do not allow your drink to be topped up
You may lose track of how much alcohol you have been consuming. Instead, finish a drink slowly and with food, advised Dr Lee.

7 Take along a non-drinking buddy or a non-binge drinker
If you have a teetotaller or a non-binge drinker in the group, having like-minded company helps in resisting pressure to join in

Bet all of ya are weary due to the current market situation.

Despite the ongoing loads (huge loads, that is.) of funds being pumped to save the global bear market, everything is still going down. Well, except for the electricity costs in Singapore. In fact, it has gone up by a huge 21%. (Oh wouldnt it be wonderful if shares shoot up by this much overnight?)

The papers and media have at least a minimum of 3 reportings per day that people are losing hundreds of thousands of dollars and blah-blah bank has gone bankrupt and mis-selling of investments.

In my own opinion, I think we should just face it and stop blaming the bankers. Everything is caused by firstly, greed and now fear. Everyone should have saw this coming when they, hand-in-hand, pushed the market to the gods. Have they not bothered to recall Newton's law of gravity?

What goes up must come down. No?

Speechless.

Mr Lew is so damn bloody LAME.
.
.

CLUBBING BANNED!

I, Mr Lew, hereby, am very proud to declare that Mrs Lew has promised not to go clubbing for aimless enjoyment reasons.

This is because she has come to realise that one cannot get anything useful out of clubbing other then getting to know dodgy characters (putting yourself at more sexual harressment risks), getting drunk and wasting midnight taxi fares. Jogging is a much better form of exercise then dancing "drunk".

Times are bad, recession has started. If Mrs Lew were to go to such places for no specific reasons, Mr Lew will be utterly disappointed.

I seek all blog readers' assistance to refrain from asking Mrs Lew out to club and/or for brink drinkings. Please report any trace of informations leading to above stated events to Mr Lew.

On a serious note, Brink drinking....What benefits will it bring? Will it make one richer, healthier, happy? Well happier? Yes, maybe for a few hours but the same old "day to day" problems still exist the very next day.

All "OURNEXTPHASE" readers, life is short, spend that precious few hours (which you use for clubbing and partying) with your loved ones, reading a good book or self educate yourself. Make these few hours an investment instead. Enrich your life. Make life better inch by inch...

Start today........ Have a great life to all.

Regards,
Mr Lew
